Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
Going into my final season, I wanted to dominate at my position and also be on one of the most dominate defenses in the nation.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Powerful, Quick, and Dominate.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I have been working at Georgia Sports Performance in Suwannee, Georgia with coach Earl Williams. He has a great facility with a great staff, and I felt they could get me to where I need to be physically and mentally to perform at the best of my abilities.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
First I look for anything that the O-line or Quarterback does that will give away the snap, so I can make sure I am fast off the ball. From there, I look at tendencies of the O-line when they pass or run block. Do they go from 2 point to 3 point stances for run and pass? Are they light on pulls? What are their splits on base blocks compared to double teams? I look at everything and anything that can give me an edge before the ball is snapped.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I feel that the main thing that separates me is that I have the best of both words. I am a heavier guy, so it is definitely hard to move me out of the middle, but I can move just as fast as my ends.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field, I am a leader, a hard worker, and very dependable. Off the field, I display great character, make great choices, and am always aware of the eyes I have on me, so my actions always reflect that.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
I will be a great addition to any team. I am versatile and can play anywhere on the D-line. I am ready to work and earn my spot on the team!
