Zion Custis is headed to Cape Girardeau, Missouri to play for the Redhawks of Southeast Missouri State University. He officially signed his letter of intent this morning. “I signed with SEMO because it was great positive energy with a brick by brick building the Football program. I believe I can make a immediate impact on and off the field,” said Custis.

Custis, a Running Back from Lovejoy High School in Lovejoy, Georgia had a stellar High School career. His statistics included 4,430 rushing yards and 50 Touchdowns as a three year starter. He had a record breaking year this past season amassing 1,943 rushing yards and 28 Touchdowns. He now holds Lovejoy’s single season rushing record as well as the single game Touchdown record with 6.

His honors include Region 4 6A Player of the Year, All-Metro Player of the Year, Clayton County Player of the Year, and 2 time 1st Team All-State. Custis was the leading rusher in Georgia’s 6A classification and 5th overall in all classifications.
