Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
Dominate in both the SWAC championship game as well as the SWAC vs. MEAC Celebration Bowl.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Explosive, Disruptive, Consistent.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I will continue to spend countless hours pushing my body to different physical and mental limits each and every day. I will recover just as hard as I train. Creating the ideal athlete that Pro teams look for.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
When on the offensive side of the ball, I really focus in on the overall intention of a defense. Some defenses are just strictly founded on stopping the run. I then seek a way to make the run unstoppable. Now as an offense, we have the defense in panic mode. At Defensive End, I focus in on the offensive scheme. Do they want to shove it down the field. Do they want to go bombs over Baghdad or do they want to balance it out. Now I find tendencies within the Offensive Line, that will disrupt their plan. It only takes one weak link to break a chain.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
My athleticism, my training, my enthusiasm. The way I make myself valuable.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My motor not only keeps me motivated, but it’s also very contagious. I lead by example. Win or lose, I’ll keep pushing. As far as off the field, I am an ambassador for my brand, my family, as well as my community. Image is everything. I love to serve. I love community projects.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
This opportunity is a lot bigger than me. “In the end, we only regret the risk’s we didn’t take.”
