If all eyes are not on Zion Custis after rushing for over 100 yards on arguably the best defense in Georgia last week and 261 yards the week before, then those eyes need to wander his way. Custis ranks 8th in rushing yards and 6th in rushing touchdowns in the entire State over all divisions.

Before the season started, Custis had goals of 1,500 rushing yards and 20 plus touchdowns. With two regular season games left, he has a solid chance to accomplish those goals. “I’m having the best year of my football career so far, but I could not accomplish any of this success without my great coaching staff, the big boys up front, and the rest of my teammates,” said Custis.

After eight games this season, Custis has 125 carries for 1,298 rushing yards and 18 rushing touchdowns. He has 10.4 yards a carry and is averaging 162 yards a game. Custis was also nominated by AJC.com on their Player of the Year watch list.

Custis’ recruiting efforts are heating up with interested schools including Oregon State, East Carolina, North Carolina A&T, Western Carolina, Navy, and Charleston Southern. With two games left and potential for the playoffs, Custis is sure to impress these schools and many more.
