Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I set a goal to take my team to the playoffs in my last season but we came up short a few games in the LSC. The javelina community was very supportive and felt as if this past team changed the culture back to the way it used to be. Bringing the community back and together with our school felt a-lot more satisfying than the last few years I experienced.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would talk very highly about me and the type of player I am on and off the field. I am a quiet leader that demands greatness on the field. I am a team first type of leader.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I study my last game film I watch things that I did wrong and what I could have did that play to be right. I also watch my receivers and TE’s and let them know that the ball could come to you at anytime in any pass play so be ready. I also watch what each player is doing during scramble drills so that we can be spaced out.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My strength is being able to understand each position on the field and how to attack the leverage of the defense in each play we have by understanding how they are lined up and knowing what they are going to do because I’ve played defense before and understand each coverage. Also I can scramble when things in the pocket breakdown, I don’t take sacks, i play to help the OL.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

Since the season has ended, I have been trying to eat more protein. Starting this month I will also be in the weight room 3 days out of the week, on the field running and throwing 2 days out of the week. I also train younger QB’s so more opportunities there as well.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I am a leader both on and off the field, many players follow what I do off the field because I play Quarterback. I am a team first player, so I will be at every practice every lift and making sure everyone around me is doing the same things as well.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I am a We over Me type of team player. I would love to have the opportunity to show you that I can contribute to your organization and to the community around. I can make any throw on the field from anywhere on the field from any weird bodily position. I have a strong arm and quick feet. I have been living the past few years with this mentality in everything I do on and off the field. #TDE Toughness- mentally & physically Discipline- do the right thing longer Effort – in everything you do.
