As college players get ready to showcase their skills for the NFL Draft, Prescott Line is no different. Line is a 6-0 255-pound Fullback out of Michigan State. He’s looking to follow in his brother’s footsteps, who currently plays for the Minnesota Vikings. It hasn’t been the easiest road for Line, but a fulfilling one nonetheless. He would love to continue his journey at the next level and it all starts in tomorrow’s Tropic Bowl in Daytona Beach, FL.

Is there any NFL player you compare your game to?

“I have never tried to match the way I play to any one NFL player. I watch players with great work ethic and leadership and attempt to emulate those characteristics.”

What is the biggest thing you want to improve on for the next level?

“If I were to improve one area of my game it would be top end speed. Fortunately at my position, explosion and torque are more valuable.”

What is the main reason you are playing in this All-Star Game?

“The main reason why I’m playing in this All-Star game is to further showcase my abilities. My willingness to work, willingness to learn a new playbook and willingness to compete against the top talent.”

What do you want to get out of this game?

“I would like to earn a slight edge in the minds of NFL teams after this experience. It should be noticed that I will earn exposure from teams and not hope for it.”

Define your most encouraging and your stressful/rock bottom moment during your college career?

“Football is a game of ebb and flow. I believe this course is true to life and I’ve experienced this in my football career. I believe my “high” thus far would be running out of the tunnel to 70,000+ fans! Michigan State was always a childhood dream of mine. I think a low for me was not being able to pull my team out of the slump when we fell into this year; as a senior and leader, you should always take responsibility for your team.”

Are Fullback’s going extinct?

“I’ve heard that fullbacks are a dying breed for at least four years. My brother (Zach Line) has been with the Minnesota Vikings for that long. Neither of us believe this theory. Teams that win games and make deep playoff runs always have a strong run game. More times than not if you have a strong run game you have a fullback. I don’t think it’s going anywhere.”
