What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My season goals were to win a conference championship, get first team all conference, and break a few school records. Sadly, we didn’t win our conference. I did finally make first team after being robbed 3 years in a row. This is my fourth all conference award and I was blessed to break the school records for pass breaks ups and passes defensed. I finished 6th all time in tackles and a bunch of others small records.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

I definitely took advantage! After the covid season/breaking my hand. I wanted to show my technique and my versatility. If you watch my film you will see a guy who plays all over the field and even special teams.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I think they would say I am a great teammate but an even better guy. I’m unselfish and a leader for the young guys. They would say I am the hardest worker they know.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I watch myself I watch my technique. If I’m pressing well all my other game will fall into place. That’s all I worry about. My film study helps me see what plays are coming. When I watch other offenses/receivers I watch their tendencies. I break down concepts and what each player likes to do the most (especially if I’m shadowing). I watch a lot of film and had to be ready to play a bunch of positions these past few years.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My versatility, work ethic, and dawg mentality. I play all over the back end for the defense. I play every single special team. I just show I’m willing to do whatever a coach asks of me.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I am back home working now. I work out and hit the field every day around my work schedule. My biggest thing to do is to get my weight to 180-185.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Off the field I am a better man than player. On the field coach will get a guy who asks “where to” when coach says to run instead of “why”. I bring leadership, work ethic, versatility and dawg to any team.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

If you want a guy who will do anything the teams asks you found him. I will learn anything and run through any wall.
