Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I set a goal to be one of the leading tacklers in the conference and I accomplished just that. Unfortunately, my goals were slightly disrupted in the middle of the season with an ankle injury that caused me to miss 3 games, but I was able to comeback and finish out the final two games of my senior season very strong.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would say I am an impact player. Someone who needs to be on the field at all times. I have a motor and play with a lot of aggression. An every down linebacker who can run sideline to sideline and make plays. I also have no problem lining up in front of tight ends or receivers. A player with a nose for the football who’s always looking for the big play.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I look at everything honestly. I tend to focus on the big plays, and “how they hit” so I know how to stop them. From tendencies, to concepts, to keys, adjustments, signals, and personal. I look at and break down everything. I really like seeing how teams play or lineup against certain offenses so it can give me better insight on how to play them myself.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me the most I think is my versatility. Typically with a linebacker you either fine a speedy guy with coverage that lacks physicality or an overly physical backer that can’t support in the pass at all. I am an all around linebacker that brings both attributes of physicality in run support and great feet and techniques in pass coverage. I am an every down linebacker that will make plays all over the field. That is what separates me.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I am playing to start my offseason training very soon in either Texas or California. My pro day is in March at New Mexico State so I will be fully ready when the time comes.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Obviously any team will profit from my athletic ability. Every football player at this level is a great athlete. However, off the field they will benefit not only from my character and positive influence, but also from my determination and leadership as well.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

I am a special player. Many teams and scouts seem to overlook athletes that come from smaller schools, but don’t let where I came from define me. I will change and make an instant impact to any team I’m on. All I need is an opportunity.
