Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
My goals going in to my final collegiate career included attaining my degree, perfecting my skills, being the most effective leader possible, and do anything possible to compete each and every week of the season.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Relentless, passionate, intelligent.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I am training harder, faster, and smarter than I ever have before with my trainer. I am developing my body and mind as I make this push for professional football.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
I study the tendencies and habits of the whole offense. I am able to be most effective as a team player when I fully understand what the other team’s offense is most likely going to be doing when we face them. I want to do anything I can to put my team in position to win as many games as possible. When studying my own film, I look for any reads that I might have missed and any techniques that I could have done better. I am always striving to make myself better.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I feel that what makes me different from other players at my position is my passion, desire, and explosiveness. I am more mentally and physically quick than most of the players in my position. Every play you are going to get everything out of me and I am going to bring the big hits causing severe problems for any offense I go against.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I have talked a lot about my abilities and what I can bring to the field. The most important takeaway is my heart on and off of the field. I will do anything for my teammates, my family, and others in need. I have a passion for helping struggling youth everywhere as well as in my home country of Cameroon. I have been afforded great opportunities and I would like to help others to go after their dreams the way I have gone after mine. Whether that is playing in the NFL, going in the military, or being a business person, I want to help the less fortunate reach their full potential.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
I am your guy if you are looking for an athlete that is always looking to be the best. I am a true student of football and I will not stop until I know the most I can about my position and the game. I have not been playing this game for that long and I know that I have not reached my full potential yet. With the right mentors, I can be one of the best athletes in the league. I will never stop striving to be better than I was yesterday for myself and my team.
