Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Marquell: All-Purpose Running Back
Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?
Marquell: I’m training at Georgia Sports Performance in Atlanta, Georgia with Earl Williams and James Wilder Jr.
Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?
Marquell: Lesean McCoy. I feel like we’re the same type of back. I watch a lot of him and Le’Veon Bell, I try to take some things from the both of them and make myself a better back. McCoy and I are pretty much the same type of back though.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
Marquell: I focus on the entire defense from the defensive line, linebacker, and back to the secondary. I try to find any weaknesses they tend to show, so I can attack it and I also search for their strengths, so I can see what they do well. I watch it over and over until I know what they’re doing before they even do it.
Q: What separates you from other players at your position?
Marquell: I can not only run the ball well, but I can catch like a receiver and I can block like a lineman. That’s what makes me an all purpose back. I also return kickoffs.
Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Marquell: My abilities that will stand out on the field are the way I can protect the quarterback, catch out the backfield, and run the ball well when it’s handed off to me. I can also help in special teams by returning kickoffs and doing whatever else is needed from me. Off the field, my character is great. No arrests, no failed drug tests, or anything like that. I will be a great addition to any organization.
Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Marquell: Put me against whoever you feel like is best on your list and watch me embarrass him. I really don’t talk, I like to show what I’m about.
