Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Kent: Technician, fighter, competitor (don’t let my opponent make the play)
.

Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Kent: When my season ended early, it gave me the opportunity to get a head start in preparation for the next level. I was so fired up about getting better and getting into training. I’m training in one of the top training facilities in Austin. Not only am I on a meal plan to build on lean muscle, but I’m also working with people who are perfecting my craft and technique. My goal is to strengthen my weaknesses and make my strengths dominant.

Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?

Kent: I would compare myself to the left guard for the Raiders, Kelechi Osemele. He’s really heavy handed and when he locks his hands on someone, it’s over.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

Kent: I look at the DL’s pass rush moves, and how they play the run. I look for clues in the DL stance that give away the twist. I study the alignment of the DL to see if their giving something away. I look for blitz’s in different down and distances. I look at the safety to see if they give away the blitz’s and show it hard, or do they disguise it well. I also look at how the LB’s play the run. I make sure that I’m prepared.

Q: What separates you from other players at your position?

Kent: I hate being second, and I hate to lose, that has always been me.

Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Kent: My favorite football players are the Pouncey brothers, they are my role models. I watch how they play, and how they handle themselves on and off the field and that’s what I will bring. I have all the ability to play AT the next level and I bring the fight. I’m a fighter. I don’t accept defeat and I don’t expect average. I want to be the best and that’s how I will work.

Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Kent: I would love to write about my story, but that would be too long, so I’m just going to be brief. I’m a fighter, I’ve been one my whole life growing up. I’ve learned how to fight for those around me and those who I care about. I want to be the best and wherever I end up, I will be, I can promise you that.
