Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Darius: Relentless, Fearless, Playmaker.
Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?
Darius: I have been training with a speed trainer working on becoming faster, more explosive, as well as fine tuning my technique.
Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?
Darius: I would Have to Say Tyrann Mathieu because of his Versatility and passion for the game. He can’t be put in a box of just being a DB he plays everywhere.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
Darius: Offensive tendencies, blocking schemes, QB’s favorite target, and WR releases and route running.
Q: What separates you from other players at your position?
Darius: My passion and love for the game. I play with a chip on my shoulder so I play with a certain intensity.
Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Darius: I would bring competitiveness to the team that would make me and my teammates better day in and day out. A player who is ready to make contributions right away by challenging teammates on the field as well as challenging them to do better off the field.
Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Darius: Any team that gives me an opportunity would be getting a versatile player who is hungry and a hard worker. I love special teams, I bring my hard hat every day. I am a small school guy, nothing has ever been handed to me, I’ve worked for everything I have, and I will come in day in and day out and earn my keep
