Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
The goals I had for this past season was to be able to adjust to the new offense, have a winning season, and be more of a leader of the team.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Physical, Fast, Crafty.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
Right now, I am training at DST West in Houston, TX with Kyle.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
When I study film, I look for my opponent’s tendencies. Small things like the way he lines up on the ball. Another thing I look for is their favorite move they do when pass rushing because that’s a big key. I also look to see if he is a player that plays all 4 quarters or is he going to take plays off. In addition, I look to see if he’s going to bring the same intensity every play and not let up.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I pride my game in my athletic ability and my versatility. A lot of lineman cannot play multiple positions on the field or make plays in open space like I can. I always bring my “A” game every play and play as relentless as possible.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I have the ability to play both guard positions and center in which many lineman cannot do. I play very fast, very physical. My athletic ability as a lineman is very intriguing.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
If you need a versatile offense lineman who just works his tail off, then you found the right person. Finishing plays, high effort, and high energy is what I focus my game on. You don’t get too many opportunities to play this game, but if I’m given a chance to play for your organization, you will surely not regret it.
