Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
The extra year of eligibility gave me the opportunity to improve both physically and mentally. I was able to work on my technique and have a better understanding of opposing offensive formations/schemes.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say that I have matured as a leader throughout my years here at Clarke University. They describe me as an aggressive player, someone who is fundamentally sound, a motivator, and a contributor.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When studying film it is important to study what the opposing offenses do in specific scenarios. (ex.) “2nd & long”. By doing so you are able to become familiar with opposing offensive formations, their key players, and have an idea of what to expect.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I am a quick lateral player. I am able to get from point A to point B on the point of attack. I also make plays on special teams.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I have my own set of workouts and meal plans that I stick to. I try to focus more on explosive workouts to help improve my speed and mobility. I’ve also put more emphasis into yoga stretching.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I will add value to both the defense and special teams. The way that I carry myself tells a lot about who I am as a person, my work ethic, and perseverance. Whether it is on or off the field, I am someone who will motivate others to succeed.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
Watch my film and you won’t even notice my “size”. I am a player who will produce and make plays regardless. All I need is an opportunity.
