Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The goal I set for this season was more team oriented as I believed with more team success came more notoriety on an individual level so I wanted to beat a ranked opponent and have a big play in the process and we did just that when we beat traditional powerhouse Minnesota Duluth in Duluth and I had a nice breakaway run as well.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I believe my coaches and teammates would say I am a selfless player and a very coachable and low ego player. Very reserved and laid back and willing to do whatever to help the team win
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When watching film I study the front 7 and their tendencies to see if I can find developing holes on run plays and I focus on the DBs to try and recognize coverages because that will let me know the possibility of blitzes or stunts and help me find lanes as well in the run game.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me is my versatility and speed. I have the ability to play in the slot and run real routes as well as having the ability to hit the home run while being in the backfield because of my speed. I also don’t need as many carries in order to be effective because I can break at any moment for big plays.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My offseason plan so far has been taking every opportunity to get in front of scouts to get my name out there first and create some sort of buzz so there’s interest around my name before doing a pro day. Then I’ll be home working in a training facility to get me better at the drills so I can perform to the maximum of my ability.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Things that will stand out on and off the field is my resolve. I’m a very laid back person so I don’t operate off of emotion. I’m logical so I can keep a steady head and be pragmatic and logical in all situations.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
If you’re looking for a very athletic and speedy runner with great patience and great elusiveness who is a very tough runner with the ability to catch out the back field and return kicks, then I’m the guy you want on your team. As well having a low ego I can make a huge difference on special teams as well via gunner or kick off. I am an all around football player that can play any side and any position.
