Marcos Ruiz is a productive Running Back from Coral Park High School in Miami, Florida. Ruiz appeared on the South Florida scene during his Junior Year after rushing for 850 yards and 6 touchdowns. He followed up that performance with a productive Senior season, rushing for 800 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Ruiz is a physical, quick, and powerful back who can break the long run. “I believe I have the talent to go far in this sport and chase my dream of making it to the league,” said Ruiz.
He has the experience and talent in many areas of the offensive side of the ball. In the Running Back position, his film shows his vision, strength, agility, and the ability to break the long run. Ruiz can also line up at fullback and deliver blows to open up holes. When he’s lined up at the Wildcat position, he can run and throw in this formation while averaging seven to eight yards a carry last season.
In an overcrowded Miami recruiting scene, some great players are overlooked. Ruiz is one of these players. He has some offers, but is still looking for a school and football program to call home. The great thing about football is whatever school ends up signing Ruiz on a scholarship to play for their program, he will ultimately get to showcase his talents and show everyone what he is made of.
