Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?

A few goals I had going into my final season was to be more physical, study more film, and to play faster. I would say I accomplished those goals, because my preparation and determination on and off the field improved a great amount in my final season. It was great to see it translate to film.

Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?

My coaches would say I’m coachable, hardworking, trustworthy, and versatile. I’m always willing to be coached, determined to get the job done, and I played pretty much any position they needed me to play in the secondary/special teams.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

First, I start pretty broad and look at the overall scheme of the offense to get a good understanding of what they run. Then, I break it all the way down to the players, to see what their specific tendencies are. Lastly, I start to incorporate our schemes and plays versus the other teams plays. In my head, I put myself through the all the different checks and reads, so that when it comes game time all the calls are muscle memory.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

I like to play fast and sound. I harp on knowing all my keys, reads, and assignments at all times, so that I don’t have to think too much in a game. I can just play football. Also, I bring physicality to the field as well.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I am currently working out everyday with my trainer Rich Garcia, former speed and strength coach for the Philadelphia Soul. Each day we work on different things such as speed, footwork, explosiveness, and proper mechanics. Just trying to get me in the best shape possible for a combine/pro day and other pro opportunities.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

A few strengths that stand out are my mindset and work ethic. Those things stand out the most when I’m being coached. My ability to take the coaching and apply it to the very next rep. Just trying to limit my mistakes as much as I can. I understand that being able to stand out and separate yourself from the rest is very important at the next level.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Playing for a professional team has always been a long term goal of mine since I was a kid. Everyday I try to improve and better myself on and off the field, to get closer to achieving that goal. No matter how hard things got, I never gave up. If I were to be given the opportunity, I will make the most of it and will represent your team well.
