Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
To be a team leader and inspire my defense to respect each other and to work as a team. Our defense was the best in the NEC!
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My Coaches loved me. They all told me that I was one of the hardest working men on the team and that I had a motor that didn’t quite. I will miss my brothers we had an incredible bond that will be there for a life time. I believe the would say that I am a good man, a great football player, and a man of God.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
As a defense tackle I’d always look at the running back to help me know before the play if it will be zone to me or zone away from me. I also study each O-linemen to see if they have any weaknesses or if it’s pass or run. Also I’d look at the receivers to see if they’re in a sprinter stance or standing straight up.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from the competition is that I am a good twiner, I could play end, nose, or tackle. Being 275 and being very dominant in the run and fast off the line for pass, I could also play out of a 2 point stance to confuse the offense.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I’ve been doing 3 a days everyday to be great. Working out in the morning then going straight to position drills/field work to going to speed training at night to get as fast as possible.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My knowledge of the game and my ability to be a leader to anyone I’m around. Also I was a 4.0 student.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I will help the league strive for greatness, and with that I will also be a role model to anyone watching and respectful player. I will always be outgoing and supportive/respectful to everyone and help everyone grow in their art.
