Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Going into my senior season my goal was to come back and be that leader who helps lead our team to a conference championship, and make a playoff run. A personal goal of mine was to make the All-conference team , in which I was blessed in doing so.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say I am selfless player who does whatever to help the team. Someone who is coach able and can take criticism. That I am a leader not only on the field but off the field.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When studying film I first like to watch myself and see what I struggled on that day or what can be fixed. Along with that I love to break down what WR’s like to do, how deep they run certain routes, alignment, strengths and weaknesses. I like looking into the QB tendencies and what they like to do. What the offense tendencies are when it comes to 1st & 10, 2nd & short, etc. This helped me prepare for certain moments in games.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My instincts, I would say I have a great feel for the game and what’s coming. Recognizing plays from film and anticipating routes. When that ball is in the air, it’s mine. I become the WR when I see that ball.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
Stay active in the weight room along with cardio to stay in shape. Working on speed, change of direction & keeping my body healthy. Field work when the weather is right . Stay active , stay ready.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I would say an on/ off the field ability of mine is to bring others together and create a sense of belonging. This is important within a team because these are people you’re going to battle with. Trust is key within a team and building that trust is important to me. On the field, my ball skills are unmatched. My ability to catch a football is much like a WR’s , I’m a DB with hands !
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I am grateful for any opportunity and will not make you regret taking a shot on me. I am a grinder, I won’t waste your time.
