Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I had a list hanging next to my bed that read:
1. Establish myself as a vocal leader during off season workouts
2. Lock down a starting spot during spring ball
3. Establish myself as a top option on offense during camp
4. Win a Pioneer Football League championship
5. Be selected to an all conference team

I accomplished the first 3.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

Selfless, a grinder, and someone who is obsessed with the game.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

Aside from my opponents tendencies, I like to look at my footwork in my routes and make sure I’m not taking an unnecessary steps.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I think its my true understanding of defenses/coverages and the routes that beat them. Safety was my first position and that knowledge has stuck with me.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

Right now I’m working with a performance coach on my speed, agility, and strength while mixing in workouts with a receiver specialist named Cody High.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

This seems to be the common answer for questions like this, but definitely my work ethic. I worked my way from true walk-on to starter so I know what its like to grind from the bottom up.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

I’m willing to do whatever it takes to continue playing the game I love. (Including putting on 10 lbs and moving back to safety) My college story shows that I can never be counted out.

I’d also tell them that because I got a late start on football, I feel like I still have so much room for improvement as a receiver and as a player in general. Combine that with my work ethic and you have the potential for greatness.
