Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

Some goals I set before the season were to add recognition to my game, win another championship for my school, and as a team dedicate the season to our lost teammate/brother. We did all of that plus more, setting countless school records as well as giving our school our first playoff berth.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

Unselfish. But I am willing to do anything to help the team win. During practice is like during a game to me. Every play I’m near the ball or the one attacking the ball. Size was their question, until they seen me play. I think I can play every position from long snapper to kicker to holder, but that’s how competitive I am and driven to motivate the people around me to give their best as well.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on the different approaches of others that face my opponent. How the opponent handles himself under pressure, and when they are comfortable. A receiver’s different alignments, and what they are doing with their hands before they get the ball versus when they don’t. And even how a quarterback makes his pre-play reads.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My willingness to not be out worked. By the person next to me, and definitely not the person across from me. I am a team player and a positive locker room and weight room presence. My mindset is always positive whether we are winning or losing. But when it is time to work, you will also find me holding myself and my teammates accountable, ready to be better than we were a week prior.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

Eating great! Getting some work in, in my school’s weight room, working on my strength and craft with my DB coach. Yoga is also something I like to do during on and off season.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the field I bring an energy to the team that isn’t determined by the momentum of the game. Every drive we have to do better than the last and win that drive. I am a read and react player. But not too aggressive. I have a high football IQ. So, off the field film sessions are big. Just as big as the weight room but being a person that people can tolerate and not label nuisance is something I’d also like to say I can bring off the field.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

Being that I play Safety, I know it is my responsibility to be a team player first and an even better individual player second. I can play whatever position you need me to, and if I am not familiar with it, you’d never know. I am eager to play for anyone willing to give me a chance. I bring 110% effort every down, practice, and meeting. I just need the opportunity to show you.
