Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My overall goal this year was to win a conference title. I also wanted to show the next level that I could tackle and play the ball. I believe those skills were on display this season, by finishing with 11.5 tackles for loss and 6 interceptions.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My Coaches and teammates would consider me a “blue collar” player. I come to practice everyday to work and get better, while holding myself to a standard. I’m an approachable teammate with the overall goal of winning always in mind.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

As a grad student, I’ve known the importance of film for a while now. I study the splits of the number 1 and 2 receivers, quarterback tendencies and the ball security of the running backs and receivers.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I believe my ball hawking ability is what separates me from other prospects at my position. Being 6’2 and rangy, I have the ability to play on the hash and deep third. While intercepting the ball a lot this season, i also played the line of scrimmage well with double digit tackles for loss.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I did treatment for about two weeks straight when the season ended and I’m currently training for my pro day in Florida.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I believe I would bring athletic ability in the backend and the knowledge needed to play the position at a high level. I’m also a team first player that will do whatever is needed for the team.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I believe that I am the player best for your organization due to my impeccable work ethic and my passion for this game. I finished this season 2nd in the FCS in interceptions with 6 and finished the season with 65 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks & 2 blocked kicks. I’m also the second highest graded safety in the Nation according to PFF. Not only can I play anywhere on the defense, I am an even better man off the field.
