What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
In the beginning of the year I set goals to be All-Conference and All-American. I have accomplished All-Conference first just waiting for the All-American results.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I think that I maximized my opportunity when I decided to transfer from D2 to D1 for my grad year. Also, when we played Alabama, I did very well in that game. I think that momentum rolled over into the season for success.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I think that they would say I am a very tough player that cares about everyone in the program.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I focus on my opponent’s best moves, then I try to simulate stopping them. When I watch film on myself, I try to focus on my weaknesses.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
Overall, I think that my athleticism and natural strength sets me apart from other prospects in my position.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I will be training in Miami to get ready for the NFL draft. Also, attend the best bowl game opportunity.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I think I will bring toughness to the team. I also will open up holes on the inside and outside of the field. That will keep the defense leveled out because we have athletic linemen to get in space and clear things up in between the line of scrimmage.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My mind set to never quit will make me successful in the league. Once I get an opportunity, I know that I will make the most of it. Competition is one of my main strengths. I have played against every type of competition from D1, D2, D3, JUCO, and NAIA football.
