Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
Some of my goals this season were to communicate better with my teammates to put our defense in the best position possible as far as calling plays and getting people lined up. Also, I wanted to be the best tackler I could be, having the fewest missed tackles possible.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
My style of play would be Smart, Instinctive, and Quick!
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I will train back home with my trainer in Mississippi.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
When I’m studying film, I look for certain tendencies that my opponents have to show what they like to do and that may signal a certain play that they run. I also study the type of plays they run with the down and distances to get a feel of when they like to throw the ball and when they like to run the ball.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
What separates me from other players is my intelligence and ability to diagnose plays quickly!
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
What will stand out from me would be my consistency of studying film on my opponent, my work ethic, and my accountability!
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
My final pitch to scouts would be that you won’t find no one more accountable, smarter, or passionate about the game! You can always count on me and will not let anyone outwork me!
