Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
One of my goals going into my final collegiate season was to win a National Championship after being there and falling short of our goal. I also wanted to contribute a lot in the running game, even though Shepherd was a pass first team, and balance my game with catches out the backfield.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Aggressive, Explosive, Powerful.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I plan to focus on every aspect of my game, but having a lot of focus on speed and making cuts in the open field. Diet is a big focus as well, just making sure I eat healthy and stay lean. I currently teamed up with Titus Academy to focus on pro day skills and will continue to utilize resources to get the proper training.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
When I watch film, I focus on the Linebackers and the defensive line. They determine where I make my cuts or which way to pass protect. I also focus on the second level guys and see what packages they are in, so when I get to the second level through a hole, I know what to expect.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
What separates me from guys at Running Back is my ability to make one cut and get downhill with that defensive mentality at the point of contact. I’m a bigger back that catches well and can be an every down back.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My strengths as a bigger Running Back who runs hard, blocks well, and catches the ball well will stand out on the field. My ability to be coached and take what I learn and put it on the field is also one of my strengths. Off the field, my strengths are watching film and making adjustments to things I can improve and being able to take criticism.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
My final pitch to scouts is that in me you will have an every down back with NFL size that moves well on the ground and on the receiving end. I have an aggressive style of play when I run and if given the opportunity, my athletic ability will speak for itself. I wasn’t given the D1 exposure like most prospects, but I have the same athletic ability.
