What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

In our final season, we had an opportunity to play another FBS opponent In Colorado State. Since the 2015 win over Kansas, it has been a team goal to beat an FBS opponent. We accomplished that in a staggering 42-23 victory over a very good Colorado State team.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

My extra year of eligibility puts me into an unique class of athlete. Over the course of 2021, we played 25 games total, including the spring season. That was a physical grind and an experience that can’t be coached or replicated ever again. Over the course of my last year of football, I continued to develop as a player and expanded my level of experience.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would tell you that I am a selfless, team first player, with a drive unmatched by anyone. I am dependable and accountable, and when my number is called, I deliver. Everything I do, I do at 100% of my capability. You are going to get my best effort in anything you ask of me.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When studying film, the things I am looking for are, who are the guys playing across from me, what techniques do they use, what twist/blitz patterns do they like in certain down and distance, how do they adjust their secondary to motion in the backfield, what is the ratio of the defenders over our receivers, etc. My list could go on for a while. I was fortunate enough to be coach by one of the best offensive minds in college football, and we were taught to watch film in incredible detail.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I have a tremendous amount of experience playing against high level opponents in the best FCS football conference. Over 5 seasons, I have appeared in every game, and started for 4 years. Every year, my play has evolved and become more physical and demonstrative. There is no better feeling than putting the man across from me in the dirt.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

In the off-season, I plan to continue developing my strength, speed, power, and technique by training at Sanford POWER in Sioux Falls. Their facility is top tier and their coaching staff is well versed in athletic development.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I am a natural leader amongst my peers, and a coachable player. I can also learn quickly. One of my strengths is the ability to process information and make quick decisions. I have no doubt that I could learn a new offense in a few days if I was asked to.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

If what you are looking for in a player is commitment, coachability, and violence on game day, look no further. I will give you everything I have, every play. Know that if you bring me in, I will do whatever it takes to be successful. My mindset is different. I do not accept defeat. I learn from it, improve on it, and get straight back to work. I am mentally and physically tougher than my opposition. Bring me in, and you will get my best, every day.
