Name: Dresser Winn
School: UT-Martin
Position: QB
Height: 6-3
Weight: 215
Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
First and foremost, I wanted to win the conference championship for the second year in a row. Myself, I wanted to be an all-conference player and more importantly just a great teammate and leader for the program.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I would want those guys to say I am a leader by example. I put in the time in the film room necessary to be prepared for each opponent. Also, that I’ll do whatever it takes to win a ballgame.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I always begin the week watching full-game cutups. On Tuesday’s I will watch situational downs and start to categorize those fronts and coverages. Then towards Wednesday and Thursday I will have all the redzone clips watched and what defenses will come with that. My coaches also have always done a great job and reviewing all of that with me.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I believe I have the ability to not only be fast learner of the system, but also be able to put together certain intricacies of the offense that will help me and the team succeed.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I trained at X3 in Nashville for speed and strength. I also trained with QB Country of Nashville for all position specific things. They were both outstanding programs that greatly improved my body and skill set.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I will always be a great team guy on and off the field. I will always keep the team first and not have any issues off the field that can turn into a distraction.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
It can always sound cliche but I’m just a guy that’s looking for someone to give him a shot. I believe that once I step into a building I will always work as hard as possible to fulfill the need for the role I am given. Of course, once I am in that role I will continue to work my way to whatever is next in line for me.
