Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?
I set personal goals that I wanted to achieve that had nothing to do with accolades. I wanted to be a better teammate and mentor to the younger guys on the team. I wanted to be held accountable in any and every situation of my life. I wanted to challenge others to become the best player, teammate, classmate, and most of all man they could be.
Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?
Very respectful, coachable, and competitive. My parents did a great job of teaching me and siblings core values and great manners. I definitely have high respect for my elders.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
I study film for at least 10 hrs out the week. I also search up YouTube videos to help improve my technique or learn new moves as well.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
My heart, competitive attitude, and my change of direction. I feel like I’m a sideline to sideline linebacker and my quickness is a big party of my game.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
Working on my weaknesses and focusing on my technique for the 40 years dash, 5-10-5 shuttle, and L drill.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Tendencies- I watch cadences, foot placement of offensive lineman, spacing between running back and the quarterback, down and distance, formation, scouting report.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
I’m a follower of Christ and that is my priority. I’m a genuine guy that loves playing football. My parents have done an amazing job raising me to be very respectful and accountable. I love to compete to the highest level. I could care less about the fame that comes with the NFL, I play strictly to give the people I love most a better life and to prove the people who doubted me wrong. You don’t have to worry about me having trouble off the field. I take pride in doing what is right and I’d never jeopardize any moment that I have worked my entire life for.
