Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?

My main goal heading into the season was to win the Southland Conference Championship and make the playoffs. As an individual goal, I wanted to play blocks better in the running game and to add more moves to become a better pass rusher.

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Tough, speedy, effort.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I’m training in Lafayette, LA with Reggie Williams. We are going to be work on strength, explosiveness, speed, and footwork. I’m also working on my hands as well, trying to get them quicker.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

When I’m studying film, I look for all kinds of things. I look at the way the each Offensive Lineman is in their stance, whether they kick their heel up a little. Do they lean in their stance or take a peak at where they want to go block. The Quarterback, does he wipe or lick his fingers before he throws. Also, the Running Back to his alignment and his posture before runs or passes.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

I think something that separates me from other guys is my versatility. I’ve played DT, DE, even played some standup end and nose tackle. I’m going to learn what I have to to and execute the plays.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I’m going to bring effort to a team. It’s something that can only controlled by you. If there’s a long run that breaks or screen pass that breaks for a big gain. I will run to the ball and look to make a play to prevent a touchdown. Off the field, I love trying to reach out and help the young kids in the community. It’s important to me that they know they have the potential to do so much in their life.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

I’m a smart guy who can be plugged into any defensive front. I will give my all to a team in order to win games and championships.
