Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The goals I set for my final season were to not kick any touchbacks and place the team in the best position to make a play. I was able to accomplish both of my goals.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would answer that I am extremely dedicated, passionate, competitive, enthusiastic, disciplined, and a dedicated team member. I also believe they would say that I would do anything for the team on and off the field.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When I’m studying film I am focusing on how I receive the snap, foot work, drop, and my follow through. I will look at what went well and what I need to work on. When I am not focusing on my technique I will study how the punt return team is rushing. I will also focus on what returners do before the punt and after, how they catch the ball, and how they read the ball in the air.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other pro prospects at my position is that I am able to punt rolling left, rolling right, and straight away. What also separates me is I am not afraid of contact and will do whatever it takes to make the play. Also with being from Nebraska I can play in any weather conditions, from playing in heavy winds, rain, snow, and sunny.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My off-season plan is to continue to workout and stay in the gym, going to an open field where all weather is a factor and working on my technique. Working on my drops, and kicking with other punters in the area whether that be college or high school punters.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
The strengths and abilities I will bring to the team is being able to kick in all weather conditions, do whatever it takes to make a play, I can kick field goals and hold field goals as well. For off field I will be there for my teammates having their back and making sure they are okay mentally and physically.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My last pitch would be that you are receiving a hard worker, and a player that will do anything to help the team win. I would be extremely appreciative for any opportunity to show my skills and compete at a high level.
