Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
Heading into my final season, I wanted to do all I could to help my team win the Liberty League and play in the NCAA tournament. Our team accomplished those goals. Personally, I wanted to be an All-American. I competed against some of the top kickers at camps last summer and more than held my own.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Consistent, Calm, and Confident.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I will be going to various camps and combines to help become a stronger and more accurate kicker. I will also continue training with our strength and conditioning trainer at RPI to get stronger.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
I look for minute details within my form that will help me strike a better and more consistent ball. I improved my kickoff distance from last year after changing my approach and follow through after changing a few details and analyzing this on tape.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
My mental conditioning, courtesy of Brian Cain. Working with him for the last three years has really helped me remain calm and confident every time I step on the field.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Coming from a small, Division 3 engineering school, I know the amount of work that you have to put in in order to become one of the best at your craft.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
The RPI Football program has taught me that I must pursue excellence in everything I do, including football, school, and off the field activities. It’s this mindset that will allow me to be successful at the next level.
