Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?
In the offseason I worked on perfecting my craft with better footwork and working on keeping my eyes disciplined. I also worked on my communication on the field so me and my teammates were on the same page.
Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?
I think they would say I’m a hard worker, focused on doing my job for the team, and that I’m very disciplined as a player.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
I start with my eyes and make sure my eyes are either on my man or quarterback depending on the coverage. Then I check my form when opening up, if I’m too high or if I open up the wrong way. I also check my footwork in my back pedal and when I get out of my break.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I feel that most players in my position try to do their job on top of others job. I stay focused on doing my job and trust my teammates are doing theirs.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I will work on improving my speed and strength training. I’ll also stay on top of my techniques at defensive back and make sure when I get a chance to prove myself, I make the most out of that opportunity.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I will bring a leader presence on and off the field. I will bring the ability to be coachable at any moment, I love being coached up and I love learning new techniques that will give me the advantage in any situation.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
I will bring a fiery attitude and a willingness to do great things. My football IQ and leadership are my greatest assets to any team. You can trust that I will work hard and also push others around me to work even harder.
