Q: How exciting was National Signing Day for you? What did you do?
A: National signing day was a day I will never forget. I waited so long for that day to come. It was probably one of the best moments in my life. It made me realize that hard work pays off. I had my family and friends come out and support me in my decision.
Q: What made you ultimately sign with Ave Maria?
A: The recruiting process was very difficult. I picked Ave Maria over the other schools because I feel like I will have a better opportunity to see the field early. The coaching staff has a great amount of experience from division 1 football to the NFL. I think that the program is headed in the right path. I believe AMU provides a great academic environment as well. I feel that I will be able to grow as a man as well as an athlete.
Q: What other schools were you looking at?
A: I had it narrowed down to Ave Maria University and Tusculum College. Other schools were Huntingdon College, North Carolina Wesleyan, Anderson University, Tusculum College, Massachusetts Maritime College, Greensboro College, Lagrange College, and Millsaps College.
Q: What will it mean to you to play college ball in your home state?
A: It’s really exciting to know that I will still be Florida. I wanted to stay close to home for college. It made the decision a whole lot easier knowing AMU is in the sunshine state.
Q: Are you ready to make the transition from high school to college football?
A: I think I am ready for the transition to college. It’s going to be a different game but I think I will make a smooth transition. Friday nights were special, but I think Saturdays will be even more special.
Q: How would you describe your style of play?
A: I would say that it is running smooth routes and attacking the ball in the air. After the catch, fighting for every yard.
Q: What is your mindset when going over the middle to catch a pass?
A: My mindset is to catch the ball and get up field. Also, remember the most important thing, ball security.
Q: Would you rather have a game with 1 TD or a game with 100 receiving yards, why?
A: 100 receiving yards because this will probably benefit my team more than just 1 TD.
Q: What is the biggest asset you will bring to the Gyrenes?
A: I will bring a competitive mindset with everything I do. I will do everything I can to win every football game. I am a big physical WR who will go up and get it in the red zone.
Q: What are your goals this season as a player?
A: To start every game and average 1 TD a game. Also, I plan on getting stronger in the weight room.
Q: What are your goals this season as a team?
A: To win at least 7 games and go to the championship.
