Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
This year, I set multiple team and individual goals. The team goals I set were to win our conference, the RMAC and go 14-0 , making it to the D2 National Championship. The individual goals I set were to be an all conference receiver, to improve the identified weaknesses in my game from last season, and to be an active leader for my team. As a team we came short of both goals however our season was still record setting for WCU. We finished 10-2 loosing only to Colorado School of Mines and Central Washington, in the playoffs. I did not achieve all conference honors this year due in part to the fact that I playing in 6 of the 12 games. I had frequent minor injuries my senior year that kept me out a week or two each time. Regardless, I know I did my job each week for my team and controlled what I could control. The rest of my individual goals I achieved.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I’m a true student of the game. When I watch film I identify coverage and pressures, tendencies, and personnel but more importantly I pay close attention to the details of the film. Ive played both corner and receiver in my collegiate career so I can see the film from both an offensive and defensive point of view which gives me an advantage. I understand how coverages and blitzes work together. As a receiver this gives me insight to ID coverage, see through bluffs, ID blitzes, and then expose those coverages in game. When watching film I like to envision myself on the field in that clip. I like to go through my thought process and how id play the certain look I’m getting. This helps me play faster on game day.
