Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
A few goals that I set for senior season were to win the Quarterback competition and earn the starting spot. I also set a goal in which we were short of to win a league championship in the NE10.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I would say that my teammates and coaches looked to me as one who developed into a leader and a team guy. They would likely say I am a very hard worker and extremely dedicated to the game and my craft. Also I know that my toughness and relentlessness on the field was very noticeable throughout the team and coaching staff.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When studying my own film things I look to improve on in my game or keep a watchful eye for is my footwork. On each play I look at the success of the play and how my footwork may have either helped guid that success on each play or hindered it. If a throw was missed I like to look at my footwork and throwing mechanics to understand why it was successful or not and try to correct it to make my mechanics as consistent as I can. Also I like to look at my eyes for things like If I should be looking off a safety did I?, are my eyes in lined with hips during progressions and is my tempo through progressions the right pace.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other prospects is what I give to the game, the confidence I have in my game comes from the hours that I put in. I feel a-lot of people claim it and show it for social media but when it all said and don’t I know that I will be one of if not the hardest worker(s) in the room. Aside from hard work, on the field I have a great combination of abilities such as athleticism and play making assets.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
Off season training is the best part for me, Ill be in the gym training a-lot of over strength and power but a-lot of rotary and core strength. Throwing the ball is hip and torso strength and mobility. Ill be in the gym around 5 days a week for strength and mobility days and at the field running about 2-3 days a week. Also I will be working on my craft and mechanics 3-4 days a week.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
During college I was always in the top of the community service list for hours served and one year led the team in hours served. On the field some of my abilities I know will stand out is my athleticism. Im not one to run every play, but my ability to make people miss and extend plays is what I can flourish in. I can be elusive in and out of the pocket although I am not blazing fast. Also making off platform throws at unusual angles at different parts of the field. I also have very good film/coverage recognition on the field, and where the ball may have to go. I led for hours watched of film on my team, so I bring a big belief in film study on weekly opponents.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I know statistically what I offer won’t blow you away, but I know who I am/will be given an opportunity. All I can ask for is a shot to prove myself and the rest Ill make sure will speak for itself.
