Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The goals I set was to be the best teammate and player I could be to help my teammates win football games.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My brothers and coaches will call me a high character person and player with a high motor and great instincts.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
Most of the time I focus on tendencies and identifying what teams want to run out of what formation.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I think the thing that separates me is my understanding for the game. My Father Anthony Mathews did a good job helping me understand the game at a young age.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I’m currently training for pro day and opportunities at Elite Speed training with Nick Vinson and Rod Rogers, they’re doing a tremendous job getting me back to 100% and healthy.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I think the strengths I will bring have to do with my knowledge of the game, being able to understand what the other teams wants to do and when they want to do it.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch for myself is I truly and honestly believe I’m one of the best player in the country, I’m a high motor intelligent football player that knows how to make big plays. We played a NFL style defense under Coach Creehan, Coach Fields and coach JB.
