Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?
My goals was to play football again my Sr. Year after sitting out for 2 years. That’s my biggest accomplishment. We came up short from being #1 in our conference we finished #2. Ended the season 10-2 with this past team we should have played in the National championship.
Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?
My coaches would say I’m a team player for sure. Unselfish, lead by example even though I don’t say much I’m a quiet guy. I’m great guy to have in the locker room and that I am willing to to put in the work and try to become better player every single day.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
Watching film I like to watch my opponent or any OL of how they move, what’s their favorite technique to use on us DL. Watch their hands, look out for what OL that will show the play. What personnel they are in, who’s the softest and what’s their weaknesses. And what’s their favorite plays.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
What separates me from other players in my position is my athleticism for my size. I can play the 3 tech to rushing off the edge. My hands skills, my IQ for the game. And that I can line up against any offensive linemen and go to work! I don’t show any weaknesses and I will go 100% on every snap.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I will train like it’s my last day on this earth. I’m training with the best trainers at Phase1 Sports. Reggie, Trippie, Darian, & Mike knows how to prepare me for this off season and for the draft. We are training hard and 2x day Monday-Saturday, the grind does NOT stop.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Some of my abilities on the field include my overall strength. I’m not the strongest guy in the weight room, but once we get on that field best believe I’m the strongest and it will show. As well as my athleticism for a big guy I’m a run stopper, pass rusher & I will definitely go up for the ball and try to get an interception. Off the field I’m a well spoken guy. I come from a big family so I’m definitely a family guy and I am person who put others before my wants and need and you can ask anybody that knows me.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
My final pitch for any NFL or pro league scouts is that I’ve been through so much to get to this point in life and they know my story. Just to get to this point is a big blessing, and I’m very thankful for it. I just want them to know how bad I want to be successful in life and that I’ve learned and grown a lot from the past. I would also tell the scouts that what ever team that will take a chance on me they wouldn’t regret it. Hard work speaks for itself.
