What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Being able to complete my degree, and grad transfer was my main focus and goal at the conclusion of the 2019- 2020 season at NDSU. Throughout my college career, I was able to learn and grow through two different explosive offensive systems, which has led me to the opportunity of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
Having the extra year of eligibility, I was able to connect and learn a new system quickly, which increase my skills and knowledge. Therefore, I was able to produce and increase my status as running back and wide receiver.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
A humble leader that leads by example. A hard worker. When it is time to hit the field, it is all about business and preparing to have success.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
Studying film is an important aspect of being prepared for the upcoming opponent. Note-taking defensive fronts, linebacker movement, and studying who the opposing team’s best defensive back is, are the key points when watching the film. Using what I consider my strengths are, to have an edge on an opponent is part of the success I will have in the game.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other pro prospects, will be the amount of experience I have in big games. Playing in multiple conference games and 3 FCS national championships and North Dakota State, plays a big role in knowing how to win. That experience gave me the skills and knowledge to produce and have success at Western Kentucky University.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
To prepare for my Pro-day I will be training in Kansas City, with my father Timmy Cofield, Former Kansas City Chiefs Linebacker. I will also be preparing at EXOS training Facility, stationed in the KCMO area.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
With the RB position, I am a 4 down back. I have a lot of experience of being able to make the big play when that opportunity presents itself. I am versatile, being able to catch the ball out of the backfield, or line up in the slot is critical to making plays to the evolving position.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
When given the opportunity it will be a great decision for a team, I will bring key pieces to the organization. I love competition and the main focus is winning. I make plays.
