Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I took the right precautions to make sure I stayed on top of my bumps and bruises during the season by doing what I call prehab to make sure I work different areas of my body so when it is time to perform, those muscles have already been worked and ready to go.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
A Leader, hard-working, Consistent, Coachable,Ambitious, humble, and just a playmaker type of Player. A person who loves to compete & doesn’t like to be outworked by anyone. Believes in doing the little things right and Has not one ounce of complacency in his body. A player who is always finding ways to get better at his craft.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
Depending on who we are playing that week I look at that team’s tendencies, I look at what coverages they like to play the most, when they like to blitz etc etc. then I’m studying the secondary individually and picking up their tendencies so I know how and when to attack them to win on my route.
When I’m watching film on myself, I look to improve my game by seeing if I have any tendencies that possibly give away I’m about to break. I look to make sure that I am getting in and out of breaks efficiently and when it comes to press coverage making sure I have my moves ready in my tool box to use that week to win against my defender.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I have the ability to hear the call from the QB, go to the line and know that if I get a specific coverage I know how to adjust my route on the fly. A lot of receivers look over to get their routes told to them but I know how to decipher coverages and play fast. I LOVE to block, i played 95% of snaps my SR seasons and majority of those plays are me blocking and springing big runs. Lastly, I’m coachable and always willing to improve my game.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I am currently training With Trevor Anderson apart of “Better Everyday” training down in Orlando Florida. I have already seen improvements in speed, Strength, endurance and my mobility. I trust in him and believe that he will give me the answers to keep improving but at the same time I must do my part and making sure am eating correctly and stretching.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field, i am a play maker who can make contested catches playing inside or outside and A player who enjoys blocking. I have the ability to push other players on my team to limits they didn’t think they could reach just from the type of competitor that I am. I am a player a coach can trust to get the job done.
Off the field, I am a guy you want in the locker room because I am able to click with my teammates. I am all about my business and stay out of trouble. I have never drank or smoked in my life so that is something an organization wouldn’t have to worry about dealing with.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
In this 2020 draft, I am a diamond in the rough. I just need an opportunity to not only prove my doubters wrong but to prove myself right that all this hard work has paid off. Organizations need a guy to come in and be about business, passionate about the game, and dedicated to help a team reach the ultimate goal which is a championship and I believe I am one of the missing pieces. I just need a shot.
