Name: Patrick Graffree
College: Eastern Kentucky
Position: Defensive Tackle
Height: 6’4″
Weight: 305

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Patrick: Quick, Motor, Enthusiasm

Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?

Patrick: I’m going to work on basic fundamentals, footwork, hands, and rep the combine drills repeatedly.

Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?

Patrick: Geno Adkins, Defensive Tackle for the Cincinnati Bengals, because I am versatile in the middle I can play “3 Tech” or “Nose” and still be able to play in both the run and pass game.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

Patrick: I study the Offensive Lineman that I am going to go against by looking at his stance first to see if he is run blocking or pass blocking. Then, I look at the Offensive Lineman I am going against by determining if he is a leaner or a puncher so I know which counter moves I need to use. Last but not least, I try to look at the Offensive Lineman’s weakness in the run or pass game and what moves other players have used on the Offensive Lineman I am studying.

Q: What separates you from other players at your position?

Patrick: My motor runs hot on the football field and I love competition.

Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Patrick: On the field, I am a student of the game I ask a lot of questions, I accept coaching and can imply coaching points. I will play with a winner’s mentality and give my all on the field whether if I make a mistake or not. I have an outgoing personality, so I am not afraid to talk about any issues I have had previously. Off the field, I am going to put in extra work by watching film and making sure that I am in the best shape I can be in. Also, making sure I get to know my teammates outside the facility and also I will be a great guy in the community.

Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Patrick: I went from having twelve tackles my junior year at Eastern Kentucky to having forty tackles my senior year with a coaching change. I played two positions, Defensive Tackle and Nose Tackle. Nothing was never given to me. I have earned everything athletically and I want to earn the right to play in the National Football League.
