Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
One of my biggest goals that I set out was to really hone in on my craft and really become a factor in coverage and showcase my athletic ability. I feel like I have shown that part very well especially on my film.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
When I think about what coaches and teammates would say about me, I think they will tell you that I’m an extremely hard worker and that I take weightlifting and training seriously, and how I prepare my body very seriously as well. With all this very hard preparation, it translates to the game.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When you are a specialist and you’re studying Film , it’s not so much going over schemes or what you think you’re opponent is going to do but it’s more so watching yourself and really deeply analyzing your technique and how you can improve to be better with that. I also watch a lot of NFL film throughout the season as well just so I can compare myself to what the guys at the highest level are doing.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What I feel like separates me most from other prospects of my position is that I actually am not just a “test tube Long snapper” throughout my college career, I’ve also played linebacker, fullback, and I’ve been a core four special teams player before fully transitioning to being a long snapper my last 2 years at Fresno state.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
As of now for my off-season training, I am really excited to participate in the tropical bowl January 20 and I’m excited to head back to school and train with my college strength coaches. To get ready for my final opportunity of pro day to showcase my athletic ability and my skills.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I think I bring a lot of leadership qualities to any team! even though I’m not a quarterback or a star receiver I feel like I’m one of those guys that just shows up and does my job and Leeds by example and I think having that accountability really rubs off on other people in the matter what proposition you play. I when it comes to being off the field, I feel like I’m really personable with people on the team and can create relationships.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I think all I have to say is turn on the film and you’ll see that I’m not just a regular long snapper. I’m a guy that always wants to be around the ball that’s always looking to make a play. I’m also a guy who you can count on to show up and execute every single day.
