Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
To compete and give effort in every situation, whether the ball was in my hand or not.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
One that practices hard and prepares so the game is easy. Also that I love God and want the best for my teammates on and off the field. I understand adversity as well.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I first want to understand the play and why it’s being called. “Is it hash dependent? What’s the down and distance ? Who are we attacking on defense? Is my route opening up someone else or do I need to be patient so someone can open up my route. Then I look at my technique. I watch everyone’s clips in Indy so that I can see what my peers did to have a better rep than me. And try to apply that in the next practice or game.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My story would make any other prospect quit but I trust in Gods will. I didn’t get a lot of playing time but I competed and practice with some top tier players. I’m not afraid of failure. Just like the man in a fight who isn’t afraid to die.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I trained at and got recovery at Top athlete and I also trained for my pro day at Titus in Wilmington, DE. My brother Zauhn Lewis also trains me with speed training and strength.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field I I have the ability to play slot and outside. I love to compete and out effort someone. Causing them to push themselves and off the field I try to get to know guys and know there stories. I typically invite my teammates to church or have a Bible study. In my past teams, it created a safe space for guys to open up if they need guidance. As well as for my brain to develop by understanding my teammates different up bringing.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I have nothing to lose in this process. Not many people believe in me. But I know the God I serve and the work that I’ve put in my whole life. I want to come to a team and win and contribute to the team winning in football and life.
