Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

Coming into my final season, my main goal was to win a conference championship and make it to the playoffs. This was my main goal because the team winning is the most important thing to me, but unfortunately, we fell just short of this going 7-3 on the season. Another goal of mine was to have my best season yet and to be a dominate player on the field. I did manage to accomplish this second goal, as I definitely had my best season and ended up earning 1st Team All Conference.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say that I am a relentless competitor; the type of player that is always near the ball, giving it 110% on every play. I think they might also say that I have the ability to make a play at any moment of the game.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When I am studying film I try to look at patterns in the offense, what plays are run out of what formations, how the WRs run certain routes and tendencies in the play calling or tendencies that the QB has. I also try to watch pre-snap to see where the QBs make their first read off the snap. I think film is huge in getting an advantage over the other team and getting a feel for what the opposing offense is trying to do.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I think what separates me from other pro prospects at my position is my play speed. What I mean by that is my awareness and play recognition allow me to see things quicker and react quicker than other guys which also allows me to play confidently and ultimately play faster than other people. My quickness/agility and ability to come down hill also contributes to my play speed. Another thing that separates me is my ability to effectively communicate with the rest of the guys on the defense and make sure they are in the right positions.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My offseason plan to train is to go to a facility called “Break Out Athlete” in North Branford, CT and prepare with Frank Quido for pro day testing. I am also currently seeking an agent to represent me throughout my professional career.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I think my work ethic and underdog mentality will help me stand out both on and off the field. Off the field it will show what type of person I am even when nobody is watching and on the field it will show through my play.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

My final pitch is: you will not regret giving me a chance to prove I can play at the next level. I went into college as a walk on with no offers to finishing my career on scholarship, with two championship rings, going 1st team all conference, and getting multiple bowl game invitations. I have proved that I can defy the odds and I have also succeeded at two different universities. Football has always been a part of my life and I love this game more than anything. I will not let you down.
