I was never physically overmatched, graded consistently high and was considered one of the top OL’s in my conference as evidenced by an All Conference Team selection.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
My Focus was on changing my body composition to be more flexible and explosive. The Pros are so explosive an I Lost 50lbs and increased my muscle mass. I was excited to be able to compete at a high level in arguably the best FCS conference (MVFC)and be recognized on the All-Conference Team. Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are? My Coaches and Teammates would say I am all business and a juice guy. I will always be prepared and ready to compete and deliver in all situations everyday. Especially gameday. I am the guy who wants diffucult assignments and will win.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When studying film, my progression starts in the preseason looking at all of my game film. Technique, effort, assignment/situation and my finishes are my evaluation variables. In the pre-season, my film study directs my field work whether, it is footwork corrections, hand placement misfires or eye discipline issues. During the season, I use film study more strategically to attack my opponents weaknesses and prepare for counters and possible late movements and stems during the games.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I am a true inside guy. I love being in the pivot controlling things at Center and I can play fluently on both sides at guard. I also am grateful for my height advantage because my leverage work in the run game, whether in zone runs, pro set runs, traps etc. and in pass pro, pull and the screen game are where I excel. I also have started every game in college since my true freshman year. I have competed at high level in almost 60 games in multiple championships against current NFL players and been named an All American and All Conference teams in two different conferences. Ultimately, I believe my overall game and pra0ctice experiences has prepared me to be a future consistent asset to any team that gives me an opportunity.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I am training at my University. My focus is on increasing my explosive movements and as always, staying flexible and strong so that I can bend and win the movement and leverage battles consistently.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I will bring the ability to play in a variety of styles. Pass or in run schemes. I am very versatile. I embrace preparation and I am a sponge. I will play anywhere I am needed and I will do it well. I believe my greatest strength is I can learn schemes and techniques quickly. For example, when I transferred to Western Illinois, I suceeded at learning the offensive playbook at Center and Guard in 3 days.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch to NFL teams is that as a non typical non length guy, I see that my height is my superpower. I am a leverage monster and I am a finisher who embraces elite challeges. I am grateful that there are many examples of top pros in my position at Center or Guard that are my size and they dominate weekly and have created a widening lane for futre professionals as myself. My football resume has and will show that at any level of competition, I have excelled and I don’t plan to stop rising to and above elite levels of play. I am built for this.
