Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season? 

My goal at the beginning of the season was to become more of a vocal leader and help my D-line improve from last year and we did this year we definitely improved in our pass rush. Also my goal was to be an All-American and I finally achieved that this season along with receiving a ring in this year’s All-American Bowl.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

That I am a hard worker, loyal, and coachable. I accomplish my goals and am dependable on and off the field. I motivate my teammates and am team oriented. I study my movements and the tendencies of my opponents in order to get the upper hand and improve myself.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

What I was taught was to look at O-lines stance and read their tendencies on how they will block on certain plays. I judge how my opponent will move and adjust myself as such.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position? 

I would say my power and strength along with my play awareness. My study of the game and the motivation to become better with each play and practice. My work ethic pushes me to be the best and to beat the best.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

Work on my speed, footwork, and flexibility. I also plan to continue to better myself through drills.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

My get off for a DT and for the power I bring in my punch. My approach towards the game and who I’m up against is proactive in training and strategic in preparation to gauge the right move against different types of OL. I am relaxed and don’t cause conflicts in the locker room. I am a friend to all and motivate my teammates to be the best players and people they can be.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I know that I’m not the tallest DT but if you give me a chance, I will work my butt off to represent your organization. I will be the hardest working player on that field and in that weight room. I have a strong work ethic and accomplish my goals and I will deliver on the expectations held for me. I am smart about my opponents and techniques and study the game intently. Given an opportunity I will be the most coachable and driven player I can be. I keep my own expectations high for myself and do not stop striving towards my next goals and dreams.
