Name: Vincent Vanhorne

Position: SS
Height: 6’1″
Weight: 195

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The main personal goal I had for myself was to receive first team all-conference honors which I achieved. Aside from that another goal I had was to inspire my teammates and leave a legacy behind that helped the young people on the team see what it truly takes to get better everyday week in and week out and I definitely think I accomplished that as well.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would say that I am a one of a kind player, a unique combination of grit and skill, a natural born leader and somebody that will do everything in their power to win. Also, I think they would say I’m a great person to have in the locker room and somebody that they can all count on.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

The main thing I focus on while watching film is the tendencies of the other team, like their run and pass percentages on certain downs, their formations, and what plays they like to run on certain downs. Other than the tendencies of the team as a whole I focus on the presnap posture of the tackles which sometimes can help you decide if it’s run or pass, and then the personal tendencies of my match-ups and this year a lot of the times it was the slot receivers.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What I bring to the table is more than just strength, size, and speed. I have a unique skill set that is hard to teach. My intangibles and instincts on the field are 2 things I feel like are very rare amongst people at my position.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

Just keep working hard trying to get 1% better each day. I have great people around me who will continue to push me and believe in me. Finding ways to get better day by day is the main goal.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

My instincts and intangibles will standout anywhere I go. The skill set that I possess is uncommon and I feel as if I displayed that throughout my collegiate career. Along with that I am a great teammate, and a great personality to have in the locker room. I want the best for the team and would sacrifice anything for the success of the team.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

There’s not a lot of players like me out there. The skill set I bring to the table is truly unique. My potential for improvement is endless, and I can literally do anything that is asked of me on the football field. Whether that’s recovering onside kicks, longsnapping, punting, kicking, guarding the best receiver on the other team, filling the run, blitzing etc. I always find a way to get it done regardless of the circumstances.
