Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
Going into my senior season season, I wanted to set an example for the younger guys on how to play this game the right way. Wanted to really become more of a vocal leader not only for my position group, but for my team as well. Wanted to be someone that my team knew they could count on no matter the situation.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Consistent, Nasty, Finisher ( Only 1 sack given up in my college career).
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
While training for the draft, I am preparing myself to be the best I can be physically and mentally. Also, perfecting my technique as an Offensive Lineman.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
I focus on everything that I could of done better, because you can always be better. I also look at my opponents’ tendencies and weaknesses so I know what to expect. What kind of defense my opponent runs, percentages of the blitzes they like to come with, stuff like that.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I am very athletic for my position and I always play with a chip on my shoulder. Finishing every play, but always playing smart.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I’m very dominant in the run game and I am technically sound in pass protection. Off the field, I like to give back to the ones who are less fortunate than me.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Drafted or not, you will get a dominant Offensive Lineman that just needs a shot. I’m a student of the game and want to learn everything I can from the ones who have paved the way for me to be where I am. I’ve always had to prove myself and that will never change no matter what level I’m at. Always seeking to be the best that I can.
