Name: Tyrese Bobbitt
School: Shaw University
Position: C
Height: 6-3
Weight: 330

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

This year I set the goal to finish All-CIAA and to lead the OL as well as make a name for myself to put me in the position to further my football career. I finished the season on the All-CIAA team and received an invite to represent myself, school, and family in the HBCU Legacy Bowl. I was also voted 3rd team HBCU All-American team by CFBNETWORK.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say that I’m very ambitious, hard-working, and a great leader on and off the field. I come in day in and day out ready to work. As well as that I lead by example and very vocal.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I watch film on myself I like to critique myself heavily. I start off with watching my steps, then I’ll observe my pad level and if I got my head across. footwork and body placement is an essential part of football. When studying my opponent I study their feet, hand, and overall speed, as well as their tendencies, blow delivery and motor.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

Always been doubted, and always proved the naysayers wrong. I’ve had this chip on my shoulder since I started play, it’s forever apart of me. I come from an HBCU it’s a different type of grind and mindset you have to have.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

This offseason I’m working with my trainer everyday to get ready for bowl games and combines. Focusing on fine tuning the minute details in my game and working on footwork.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I trust the process, I know that things don’t happen over night. There’s a process to greatness, and I will always in invest in and challenge myself.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

If granted the opportunity to show what I do, I will not let you down!! You’re getting a player who trusts the process and that is coachable. I’m very prideful in what I do, I will give you my all every rep.
