Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I was coming off of an injury I suffered at the end of 2021. I arrived on campus a week before our first game.Even so I had the goal of being a conference champion, D2 all American, All conference 1st team, HBCU all American and get invited to a couple senior game and the Legacy Bowl and I got everything I prayed for so I’m truly thankful.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I think that they would say that I’m a leader and an encouraging teammate. I try to bring the best out of the guys I play with but to do that you have to have a good relationship with them in order to do that. I’d like to think they say that we all have a good relationship.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When I’m watching film I try to catch my own tendencies whether in practice or from game to game. We all are creatures of habit so I never won’t my opponent to know what he’s getting from me in any given play. As well as that I study the hand placement, body angles and favorite 3 moves by the opponent in run and pass. Also I try to look for tendencies their DC may have in the defense to help indicate where pressure may come from
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My maturing as well as the ability to play the game in my head. I’ve realized if you don’t understand what you’re giving to an opponent it’s like your guessing every play. You have to have a plan of attack first and break your defender down by setting up different looks from play to play
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I’ve always been a hard worker I plan on training in Charlotte as of right now. I’ve finished playing in my senior games so now the focus shifts to pro day and making sure I test well
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I can play all 5 positions on the Offensive line. I’m physical, high IQ, and take command of the offense as a Center. I’m a former basketball player so I am athletic at Center .I also have played 3 years of ACC football so I have seen some of the best talent that is in the NFL now all I ever asked for was an opportunity so I can show my worth.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I am a leader in and off the field I won’t be one of those guys you have to worry about with conduct. I’m married and don’t have time for any of that I’m trying to take care of my family that’s my focus so I’m willing to do what is asked of me and some to accomplish success on the field and take care of my people.
