Tyler Holte: 2023 Pro Prospect Interview

Name: Tyler Holte
School: University of Wisconsin-Whitewater
Position: WR/RS
Height: 5-11
Weight: 185

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The number one goal for my team was to win the conference championship and we accomplished that by winning the 39th football conference championship in school history. I also wanted to be an All-WIAC player and I received two honors this year one as a Wide Receiver and the other as a Return Specialist.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I would think my teammates and coaches would say I practice harder than anyone else and I always take care of the details. I make the plays when my number is called and whenever a play was needed to be made to help the team out of a hole I would make that play.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I watch a lot of the positioning of the cornerbacks and what tendencies they may have when in certain coverages. I also studied the safeties of opposing teams a lot because the safeties give away a lot of coverages at the Division 3 level. I watch how the teams tackle and how well they pursue to the football and see what weaknesses I can attack when having the ball in the open field.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I would say my ability to play special teams as well as receiver. I have played on kickoff, punt, punt return and kickoff return throughout my college career and was able to make plays on all those units. Also my ability to make tough catches as well as blocking.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

Right now I plan to train in Whitewater and use the facilities as well as train at NX Level Performance in Waukesha, Wisconsin where many professional athletes train yearly. I have trained there for the last two seasons.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I will bring a leadership mentality to any team I am part of. I will use that to be a great teammate and great person in the community. I will bring juice to a team with my energy and the way I attack each day and rep on the football field. Someone who puts others first and will do whatever it takes for the team to succeed.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I’ve been overlooked my whole life so I know trying to play professional football the same thing will happen. But I have also done nothing but prove people wrong my whole life so I know the same thing will happen if given the chance.
